JASON BOWIE - Head Coach
Jason, Roosevelt High School Class of 1995, is in his fourth year as a coach at his alma mater, and first as Head Coach. Jason was a pitcher, catcher and outfielder for Roosevelt, twice winning first team All-Metro honors ('94, '95). Following high school, Jason played two years at Edmonds Community College (NWAACC champions '98), followed by two more seasons at Grand Canyon University in Arizona (CCAA champions '99). Jason currently teaches P.E. at John Marshall High School in Seattle. He is nearing completion of his Special Education endorsement and hopes to be teaching both P.E. & Special Education at a high school in the near future.
SEAN LESPERANCE - Varsity Assistant
Sean graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1995, and played both football and baseball during his high school years. Sean has coached youth baseball in a variety of capacities during the past decade. He currently works as a commercial plumber in the Seattle area.
ANDY HAY - JV Head Coach
Andy grew up in the Washington DC Metropolitan area and has played or coached baseball for 19 years. After moving to Washington State, Andy attended Central Washington University and the University of Washington. For the past seven years, Andy has coached baseball and swimming for private clubs as well as for Jackson, Eastlake and Roosevelt High Schools. When not coaching youth sports, Andy is a financial advisor for Waddell & Reed in Bellevue. This is Andy's second year as a coach at Roosevelt.
MATT KRUSE - JV Assistant
Matt graduated from Mariner High School in 2005, where he lettered all four years in baseball as a shortstop, pitcher and catcher. He also has played many years of select baseball. Matt, who lives in Everett, currently works as a firefighter in the Port Townsend area. This is Matt's first year as a coach at Roosevelt.
MATT NELSON - JVC Head Coach
Matt graduated from Roosevelt in 1996, earning 2nd Team All Metro as a Junior and 1st Team All Metro as a Senior. He was chosen as a captain his senior year and earned most inspirational award at season's end, helping lead the team to a fourth place finish at districts. Matt continued playing at Western Washington University where they won league 3 of the 4 years he played. Matt began teaching at Roosevelt in 2006. This is his first year coaching baseball at Roosevelt; he also has been a football coach at the school the past two years.
KYLE BODDY - JVC Assistant
Kyle hails from Cleveland, Ohio, where he went to school at Baldwin-Wallace College. He spent the last two years coaching much of the RHS Freshmen team in the Northeast Seattle Little League. Kyle is a self-employed financial analyst and also coaches hitters and pitchers privately on the side. This is Kyle's first year as a baseball coach at Roosevelt.
